Our Story

Three generations,
one collection

From a father's kitchen table to a family business — still built one coin at a time.

Long before Truman Collections existed, our founder was a little girl sitting beside her father, puzzling over a doubled die on a copper penny and the three-legged buffalo on an old nickel. Numismatics wasn't a business then — it was simply something they did together.

She went on to build an entirely different career. She's a practicing dentist, a wife, and a mother of four boys. But the coins never stopped mattering. When her father's collection was finally packed into a U-Haul in September of 2023, that childhood curiosity turned into something deliberate: a real education in grading, mint history, and market value — and eventually, this business.

"I have also created a silver coin pendant to keep his coins close to me and honor his memory."

Today she works alongside her son, who brings technical expertise, business support, and a modern approach to operations, helping ensure that every collection is handled with the same care her father once gave his own.

Coin Evaluations

How a coin evaluation works

Simple, unhurried, and honest — whether it's a single coin or a full collection.

01

Reach out

Call, email, or send the form. Tell us roughly what you have — a few photos help, but they aren't required to get started.

02

Bring it in, or invite us

We'll meet at a time and place that works for you, anywhere in the Triad. Everything is examined in person, under magnification — condition speaks for itself.

03

Get a straight answer

We'll tell you what's genuinely valuable, what isn't, and what the current market is paying. No inflated numbers, and no pressure to sell us anything.

04

Sell, consign, or simply keep

Sell outright, let us list it for you, or walk away better informed and hold onto it. Entirely your call — most people just want to know.

Real Photographs

Every listing shows the actual coin you'll receive — never a stock or reference photo.
